Looking forward to my weekend

with these gals! The three of us are going to The Scrapbook Zone in Michigan to crop this weekend. Nicole and I discovered the Zone while in Detroit for CKU this past April. It is the biggest scrapbook store I have ever been to. Their selection is amazing. They get every piece and part of a line, not just one or two things which can be so frustrating when you are trying to find something. Since we don't have a decent LSS near us, this has become our LSS even though it is a 2 hour drive!

It has been crazy busy with football this week. I have had a football fundraising meeting every night since Sunday. Tuesday, Joshua Cribbs from the Cleveland Browns came to the local high school to tape his local show and put on a mini camp for the players. I didn't get pics, my battery died. I am hoping some of the other moms got some good ones they will share.
These rest of the week has been filled with football practice getting ready for our big game against the gold team on Saturday.

Be on the lookout for crazy pics and stories from my weekend. You never know what will happen when we all get together.

Treats for the babysitter

Apparently when you are six, this is how you woo your new babysitter!

Madelyn was Connor's swim lesson instructor and a lifeguard at the pool. He had such a crush
on her this summer. She loves to babysit and Connor couldn't be more excited.
So while Eddie and I are helping out at Zachary's football camp out, Connor and Madelyn will be
enjoying yummy treats while watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! What more could a girl want!

Soccer and Friends

Connor's first soccer game was this past Sunday. ( Does it seem like all we do is play sports?) They started a new format this year and it is very unorganized which drives Eddie and I nuts. But, Connor loves it and that is all that matters. Zachary told Connor for every goal he scored, he would run a lap around our backyard. Connor scored twice so Mr. Zachary has some running to do!
I also wanted to share a layout I did over the weekend. I am just so lucky to have these two in my life. Snapped this pic when we were taking Karen Russell classes in Columbus. Really, a girl couldn't ask for better friends.

37-0!

Amherst Green Team kicked butt yesterday! Our defense didn't even allow a first down! I am so proud of these boys!

While on defense, Zachary was able to tip the ball which allowed one of our players to intercept the pass! I know these pics are not the best but Zachary is number 28. He is wearing an orange tshirt which hangs out the sleeves of his jersey a little. The head coach picked him as one of four captains for the team. It was a good day.

Scrapped into the wee hours of the morning with Nicole last night. Really happy with what I got done. I will share soon.

Today is Connor's first soccer game of the season. More pics coming soon!

He loves homework!

Can I tell you how happy this makes me! Last year, in kindergarten there was no homework. Now that he is in first grade that has all changed. As soon as he gets home from school he grabs his backpack and says "Ok mommy, time to do my homework." He is focused and gets the work done in 10-15 minutes. No nagging, no fooling around. He loves the first grade and is doing very well.
I was so excited to find out that the layout I posted here yesterday was picked as the page of the day over at Creative Express. Thanks so much Shellie. You totally made my day!
Tomorrow is our first football game. I have to work the concession stand for a few hours and then our game is at 2:30. It is going to be a cool day. High of 59. Ahhh, football weather!
Our team has worked so hard. Wish them luck!

Sharing a Layout

Just wanted to share a layout I did of Zachary. This is the night he came home with
the defensive player of the game jersey. He tends to downplay everything. Never wanting
to be the object of attention. He also doesn't really like his picture taken. However, he
let me take a pic of him in the jersey. That is how I know this was a big deal.

Fall is in the air today in NE Ohio! Only a high of 62 with a cool breeze! Perfect!
Hopefully you are enjoying a few glimpses of fall wherever you are!

Pioneer Days

Yesterday was the big Fourth grade field trip to Mill Hollow Pioneer Days.
People volunteer their time to show how people lived, cooked, played, etc in the old days.
It was really interesting. We saw how they made soap, dyed yarns, and took a nature hike.
I was very impressed at how well all the kids payed attention, used their manners and asked
questions.

Quick funny story. I was putting on my crocs before we left and Zachary said, "You're wearing those? How embarrassing!" To which I said, "You aint seen nothing yet!" Can't wait until he is a teenager and see how many times Eddie and I can embarrass him then!

Our last scrimmage...

went ok. Considering we played last years champs and a playoff team, our boys did ok. Next week it is for real. Finally, after almost 2 months of practice our season starts. This is a picture of Eddie and his defense. Zachary is sort of hidden but you can see the kelly green t shirt hanging out of the sleeve of his jersey.

Hang on, I have to get another cup of coffee. Ahh! That's better.

Was up til 3am cropping with Erika and Nicole. Well Erika didn't quite make it that long. I think she made it until 10:30. Poor thing, she is so tired with this pregnancy. Managed to get some layouts done.

Looks like a rainy day here in Ohio. Zachary has a birthday party to go to and I have a date to clean my car. I am a driver for Zachary's field trip tomorrow and I don't want anything to bite the kids! I will be taking my camera for the day and will post pics tomorrow.

Here is something I never thought I would do...

Start a Blog! Yep, I am an official blogger.

I have been thinking about this for awhile and I figured what the heck! We have a lot
of family and friends who we don't see that often and thought this would be a good way for them to catch up with what is going on in our lives right now.

I am still trying to figure everything out. This is going to be a learning process for sure!
Until next time!
